This quote basically says texting, and the usage of instant messaging is now redefining the social network of today’s youth. It also means it is changing the way teens are living and how they are socially inactive.
Having teens’ text or instant message, are ruining their communication future, and how they will be in life. Therefore, these online networks, in turn, may affect the offline social and friendship networks in which youth are immersed, and no longer talk to people face to face. It appears as though youth may have similar social uses for text messaging as they have for instant messaging (IM), email, and mobile phones; text messaging may often be used in conjunction with these other technologies in multitasking. Socially Interactive Technologies are becoming broader in the World nowadays, and I think it can result in being very bad for teens’ future outlook. Email and text messaging allow for rapid, asynchronous communication within one’s peer network; IM allows for synchronous communication among many friends at once said the article. Texting and the use of technology is changing the way teenagers live, and how their being changed because of texting. I think if teens would put their phones down, they could actually "live life" to the fullest, and not be focused on the dangers of texting.
