Story Behind My Topic

Texting has become a humongous part of an average teenagers’ life. Everywhere I go, I constantly see teenagers’ texting. They could be at the mall, or at the park, and they would be texting. From my perspective, texting is great way to get a hold of people, or talk to them. But, I also think it can easily be taken out of hand. Take a look at the World now; most teenagers are texting these days. It’s awful, because averages of them do not talk on the phone, or have social skills. I think about what their lives will be like in twenty years. How will they be functioning later in life? One time I was in the mall, and a group of girls all had their phones texting, and walking down the mall. Because each of them had their heads down, looking at their phone, they did not see an elderly lady coming towards them. One of the girls ran right into the lady because she was texting. Obviously this was a mistake. But, it could have went better if she was paying attention to what was going on around her, not what was on her cell phone.
